Langverwacht Winery

Langverwacht Cellar is situated in Bonnievale on the Stormsvlei road. The cellar was built to receive the first crop in 1956. The original name was Boesmansrivier Winecellar, but confusion with the name Boesmansrivier Cheese Factory lead to the name change. Langverwacht was the name of the farm on which the cellar was built.

The cellar receives 13 000 tons of grapes per annum of which 85% is white. The main cultivars are Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc and Colombar. On the red side, the main cultivars are Pinotage, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Ruby Cabernet. We continuously upgrade the cellar to stay on the forefront of technology. A new fully automatic operating red wine fermentation cellar was built in 2000.

Langverwacht is well known for its Chardonnay, Colombar and Shiraz. No surprise that our flagship wine is a Shiraz. The climate and soil is of great importance in achieving this goal. Only the top quality grapes are used for our wines to be bottled. Most of the wines are sold in bulk. Wines are for sale at the cellar and a few wineshops in the area.
Our motto is quality wines at affordable prices for everyday drinking. A visit to taste our wines is a must.
